விண்டோஸ் XP-ல் நாம் அதிகமாக Graphical User Interface Mode-ல் தான் வேலை செய்து இருப்போம். இங்குள்ள Commend-கள் Command Prompt-ல் வேலைசெய்ய கூடியவை.

அதே போல இவை (Command) அனைத்தும் முக்கியமான பயன்பாட்டிற்கு உதவும் Shortcut வழிமுறைகள் ஆகும்.


Shortcut Run Commands

1). View Full Specifications Of Your PC.

> Go to Run:
> type: dxdiag 
> press enter
Then you can view all pc specifications.

2). To Monitor Your Computer's Performance

> Go to Run:
> type: perfmon.msc 
> press enter

3). Do you have any problems in Network Connections? 
> Go to Run:
> type: ncpa.cpl

> press enter
A window will open with full details of your Network Connections.

4). Your Name in Task Bar: 

 
> Start
> Control Panel
> Regional & Language Options
Customize
> Time
> AM Symbol
- Enter name

5). Just Clear Your All Internet activity history. 
> Go to Run:
> type: inetcpl.cpl

and hit ok to clear browsing history,cookies & offline data.

6). Ad or Remove Programs 
> Go to Run:

> type: appwiz.cpl

7). Prevent Any Software From Running on Startup 

> Go to Run: 
> type: msconfig 
> select startup tab
> uncheck
> apply

8). Opening Add Hardware Window in Run

> Go to Run:
> type: hdwwiz.cpl

9). Disable CD Autorun 

1) Click Start, Run and enter GPEDIT.MSC 

2) Go to Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, System. 

3) Locate the entry for Turn autoplay off and modify it as you desire.

10). How to Convert a FAT Partition to NTFS 


To convert a FAT partition to NTFS, perform the following steps. 

Click Start, click Programs, and then click Command Prompt. 

In Windows XP, click Start, and then click Run. 

At the command prompt, type   CONVERT [driveletter]: /FS:NTFS. 

Convert.exe will attempt to convert the partition to NTFS.

11). Ping 
 

 how to continuously ping a host until stopped. Here are all of the ping options:

example .. In DOS .. c:>    ping 192.168.0.1 -t 

-t Ping the specifed host until interrupted 

-a Resolve addresses to hostnames 

-n count Number of echo requests to send 

-l size Send buffer size

-f Set Don't Fragment flag in packet 

-i TTL Time To Live 

-v TOS Type Of Service 

-r count Record route for count hops 

-s count Timestamp for count hops 

-j host-list Loose source route along host-list 

-k host-list Strict source route along host-list 

-w timeout Timeout in milliseconds to wait for each reply
